Sushi Hachibee aims to be a place where even first-time visitors can comfortably enjoy sushi prepared by skilled chefs at the counter.
We welcome you not only on special occasions but also when you simply feel like having sushi as part of your daily life.
The style of sushi known as Edomae-zushi, or traditional hand-pressed sushi, is said to have originated in the late Edo period. At that time, it was considered a type of fast food, easily enjoyed by common people. However, as time passed, it evolved into a symbol of high-end dining culture.
Despite this evolution, we strive to preserve the essence of sushi as something that can be enjoyed casually. The idea of counter-style sushi may seem intimidating or formal, but we want to break that perception.
Our wish is for everyone to experience sushi in a more relaxed and approachable way. Sushi should be something familiar to all, and we hope to share its charm with as many people as possible.
